An awesome phone for an average user.

First i would like to mention that with this phone i am using Wp8 for the first time i was an android user before.
Things to like:-
1. looks:-phone look so great and with so many color option to choose from(mine is red), its just look so cool.
2. Build quality:- as Nokia is known for its build quality, this phone is no exception at all.i have dropped it twice or thrice already but it just keep going on.
3.Camera:- phone has a remarkably great 6.7mp camera with flash and it gives u nice colors and sharpness in the pictures, better low light pictures than any other phones in same budget.
4. Battery life:- phone's battery is 2000mah and even if u use it all day, for whats app,for internet browsing, for playing music etc. it will last for the whole day.and if u r not a heavy user than it last more than a day.
5. Screen:-even though this [phone has just 800*400 resolution which some would say not ideal for a phone with this price tag,but i would differ, and i would say only one thing, just look at it and use it,its so sharp even in direct sunlight,u can use it with gloves too.its clear black display technology is very useful and make the screen more than just a 800*400 screen.
6.Processor and RAM:- Phone have 1ghz dual core processor which is sufficient enough for a wp8 cos windows phone Eco system is different from android.phone have 512 ram which is the only major issue for me,cos some games are not compatible with 512mb ram.
My user experience:- I am using this phone since last 6 months and i haven't find any serious issue like lagging, hanging, etc. i enjoy wp8 very much, even though it have some limitation and not many apps as on androids or ios but still i like my phone cos it gives me an edge over any samy android cos when i took it out from my pocket people look at it curiously cos of its great looks.and with Wp8.1 the user experience will be more better.

I bought this phone last year and have been using this phone since last one year. I love the windows interface and the ecosystem and would love to say that it is much better than android, which i had used earlier.
Pros : - Excellent Camera.
- Superb battery life.
- Smart look with amazing screen and perfect for single hand use.
- All the apps required are usually available in windows phone, including some like IRCTC which are only available on windows phone.
Cons : - Transferring data is difficult.
- Video player and media player not available
- No file manager.
But looking at pros and cons, rest assured, even after one year of its launch, it is the best phone available under 20,000/- with great screen and killer looks.

Lumia 720 - Good package with a suitable price tag.

The once downtrodden Nokia has recently started gaining pace in the world of smartphones after its release of the lumia 800 which did not sell much but it was a good step to start with windows phone 8 operating system followed by lumia 710, lumia 510, and so on and so forth.
The Nokia Lumia 720 device is powered by a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1 GHz with a disappointing 512 MB of RAM. It also boasts of its sleek Fabula Unibody design, smooth curves, 9 mm slim contours , eye - popping colours, multiple textures, 4.3 inch screen with sensitive touch and active low power mode that enables the user to view contents clearly even in bright sunlight, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, matte finished back, 6.7 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front camera working over the windows phone 8 OS.
One disappointing aspect of the Lumia 720 is the 512MB RAM, which means the user would not be able to install games even like Temple Run that need 1GB of RAM. While the user is disappointed with Nokia's decision to ship with half the RAM of what many cheaper Android phones are shipping with, we hope developers of games such as Temple Run can optimise their apps not to be so resource hungry. Perhaps that is an issue for Microsoft to address as well, as devices with much lesser RAM are able to run these games fine on other platforms.
There is no compromise in the built quality for which Nokia is well known.
This device comes preloaded with lots of apps which cannot be considered as useless bloatware since it can be used well as a daily utility like Here Maps, Here Drive, Nokia Smart camera, Bigflix, Flipkart
e - books etc.
The Lumia 720 comes with a 6.7-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics that is a solid performer overall. The camera takes good photos outdoors when there's plenty of light. The colours look natural and don't appear saturated or artificial in any way. However, pictures clicked under bright artificial lights appear a little washed out.
Call quality on the Lumia 720 is rock solid, like most other Nokia phones. We are no fans of having loudspeaker on the back of the phone, since the sound gets muffled when the phone is lying face up, and, sadly, the 720 suffers on that part. The loudspeaker output is otherwise quite good. The phone takes a Micro-SIM and comes with expandable storage via a microSD card up to 64 GB.
At Rs. 18,999, the Nokia Lumia 720 is a really attractive proposition. The phone checks all the right boxes, from great looks, to a camera that performs quite well, and hardware that handles pretty much everything you throw its way. Yes, Windows Phone still has a long way to go before it can begin to compete with Android and iOS, but unless you are someone who must have access to the latest apps, it will do the job for you.

Lumia 720 is a good phone and you can buy it if you are brand concious. It sports a squarish design which looks and feels very good. The right edge has the volume rocker, the power/ lock button and the dedicated camera button towards the bottom. The top edge has the microSIM and headphone jack, while the left and bottom edges feature the microSD slot and Micro-USB ports, respectively. It comes with a 4.3-inch display of 480x800 pixels resolution, translating to a density of 217 pixels per inch. While that doesn't sound impressive, the real life experience is quite good. You can operate it while wearing gloves which is very nice. Viewing angles and outdoors visibility is good.
The Nokia Lumia 720 comes with a 6.7 MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss lens which works very well and yields very good results. The camera works good in outdoor but performs average in low light. It comes with a no. of softwares from Nokia which enhance the camera and make your pics look better. You can make GIFs, take Panorama pics, and add many more effects to your pic. The Lumia 720 is capable of recording only 720p video, which may disappoint the spec crazy, but is unlikely to be missed by most. The 1.3-megapixel front camera can record 720p videos. Like most front cameras, it does a good job for video chats, and still photography in well-lit conditions, but leaves a lot to be desired in dim lights.
The Nokia Lumia 720 ,as you all know, runs on Windows 8 phone. While many would hesitate to buy it because of the OS being new and less of the app support, i would like to tell you that OS is very good and has all the major apps which one could desire for. Windows phones rarely hang as compared to Android or iOS. Nokia offers some great apps like Nokia Music which could help you a lot to find music on the go.
Tho, I am disappointed by the 512 MB RAM due to which some games don't run and equally low processor(1 GHz) which will become outdated after some months. Batter capacity is good and will take you through a day's work easily.
If you are brand concious and want to go for Nokia then you can go for it but you can find many better phones offered by Indian companies around same price range. Don't hesitate to check them.
