Meizu 16 mobile was launched in August 2018. The phone comes with a 6.00-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels at a pixel density of 402 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Meizu 16 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor that features 4 cores clocked at 2.8GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. It comes with 6GB of RAM. The Meizu 16 runs Android 8.0 and is powered by a 3010mAh battery. The Meizu 16 supports proprietary fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Meizu 16 on the rear packs a 12-megapixel (f/1.8, 1.55-micron) primary camera, and a 20-megapixel (f/2.6, 1.0-micron) camera. The rear camera setup has pdaf and laser autofocus. It sports a 20-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Meizu 16 runs Flyme OS is based on Android 8.0 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage. The Meizu 16 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile. The Meizu 16 measures 150.50 x 73.20 x 7.30mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 152.00 grams. It was launched in Quiet Night Black and Mountain White colours.

Connectivity options on the Meizu 16 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Meizu 16 supports face unlock.
