We have no problem with companies launching great products at low prices that force the competition to respond, pushing prices down across the board. InFocus is just the latest in a long line to attempt to do this, and it has chosen to begin at the very enticing Rs. 5,000 price point.

InFocus M2 Summary

InFocus, the American projector brand, has entered the Indian smartphone market through a manufacturing partnership with Foxconn. The modus operandi is simple: undercut everyone else in terms of price. The InFocus M2 brings features to the sub-Rs. 5,000 segment that we haven't seen before, such as dual 8-megapixel cameras and a 720p screen. It performs relatively well and has clear advantages over its competitors, especially the Android One lineup. However it isn't without its flaws. The spotty custom UI and unattractive exterior might turn some people off, though bargain hunters who don't care about such things should look no further.
