The Honor 6X comes one year after its predecessor, the Honor 5X (Review), which was a solid, dependable smartphone that delivered decent all-round performance. Honor has produced some notable smartphones in the past year, of which, the Honor 8 (Review) is one example.

Honor 6X Summary

The Honor 6X is the successor to last year’s Honor 5X. The phone boasts of a metal body and a 5.5-inch full-HD display. The 6X is powered by a Huawei Kirin 655 SoC and comes in two variants – one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It’s a dual-SIM phone with 4G and VoLTE support, but it’s the hybrid type. The fingerprint sensor on the back works well and we also have a dual-camera setup here, which is a bit gimmicky. Battery life is good. Overall, the Honor 6X makes for a dependable potential alternative to the Xioami Redmi Note 4.
