Gionee has been rapidly expanding its 'Elife S' series off late. It launched the Gionee S Plus in November and has now launched its fourth offering, the Gionee S6. While the two smartphones come with almost identical specifications, the S6 emphasises on a more premium build, as well as support for VoLTE.

Gionee S6 Summary

The Gionee S6 is the fourth instalment in the Elife series and boasts of an all-metal build. The unibody chassis is sturdy and lends the phone a premium look. The AMOLED display produces punchy colours and also had Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The phone is powered by a quad-core SoC and 3GB of RAM, which ensure smooth operation of Android Lollipop. The 13-megapixel rear camera also manages detailed stills in daylight. Last but not least, the S6 has good battery life and support 4G with VoLTE. The price is a bit on the steeper side though, considering the hardware it packs and the fact that it’s missing features like NFC or a fingerprint sensor.

My complaint is only for one thing that Gionee s6 is not sending updates for Marshmallow operating system it has 5.1 lolipop and working very smoothly but stock andriod version is more impressive then current operating system.

Horrible experience

I had purchased the GIONEE F103Pro on 14th OCT-2016. Just after the warranty period I started facing so many problems. Earlier its ear-piece stopped working, next faced the charging related issue, now Battery down, charging system not working. Its Mood Wallpaper were a network sucker during the entire period. Now maintaining it became like a keeping a costly small elephant at home. It was really my worst decision to buy this product.
