The Xolo Play Tab 7.0 features a 7-inch IPS (1280x800 pixel) display with pixel density of 216ppi and is capable of full-HD video playback. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sports a 2-megapixel front-facing camera while there is no rear camera on the tablet. The device comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage with support for microSD card, however, no details about maximum expandable storage supported by the tablet.
The Play Tab 7.0 includes a 4000mAh battery that the company claims can deliver up to 8 hours of music playback. Connectivity options on the tablet include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Micro-USB. The Xolo Play Tab 7.0 measures 194.6x122.6x10.6mm and weighs 338 grams. Strangely enough, it doesn't offer 3G connectivity, or voice-calling support.
Xolo's Play Tab 7.0 is not the first Xolo-branded tablet, as the company launched the Xolo Tab back in September for Rs. 13,499. The Xolo Tab comes with an 8-inch IPS display with 1280x768 pixels resolution and boasts of a pixel density of 160ppi. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8225Q processor along with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 203 GPU.
The 3G-enabled Xolo Tab tablet comes with SIM support and voice-calling. The tablet includes 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera and features like auto focus, geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection. It also includes a VGA front-facing camera. The Xolo Tab runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
