Sony Xperia tablet surfaces again, may launch soon

Sony Xperia tablet which has been the subject of leaks before has now been appeared on the German website Mobiflip.

According to the new images it looks like this new tablet will be lighter and thinner than its predecessor Sony Tablet S but will retain its magazine style design.

It is expected that Sony will call the new tablet as just Sony Xperia Tablet and it will have a 9.4-inch screen and a resolution of 1280X800 pixels. It also seems that the Sony Xperia tablet will have Tegra 3 quad-core processor and will run on Android 4.0 or higher. There is a large 6000 mAh battery on board.

Sony Xperia tablet will be available in three variants, which will offer 16, 32 and 64 GB of internal memory. Another interesting detail that has come out of this latest leak is that Sony will perhaps offer a keyboard along with this tablet much like Microsoft Surface. However, as of now it is not clear by when this tablet will start retailing or what will be its expected price.

The leaked images also contained information with regards to some of the accessories that Sony plans to offer along with this tablet. First up are the covers, the first one is keyboard-less carrying cover which is priced for about $59.99 and there is also a premium cover for $79.99. The latter is also available in host of colour options. Other accessory options available are a cradle comes which is listed for $39.99, docking stand worth $99.99, simple stand for $24.99, and a dock speaker for $119.99.

Sony had earlier launched tablets P and S, the tablet standing out for it's unique, foldable design.
