Samsung's Galaxy Tab S series of tablets - Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 - are now officially available via the company's India e-store in their LTE versions.
The
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE has been
listed at Rs. 37,800, while the
Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE has been
listed at Rs. 44,800.
The Galaxy Tab S range of tablets was
launched in India earlier this month. The company had then revealed a July 12 release date for the 3G-enabled Exynos-based Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablets at the India launch, and had said the LTE variants will be available at a later date. However, the LTE tablets have appeared first, with no word on the 3G variants.
Initially
announced in June, the Galaxy Tab S series of tablets features Super AMOLED displays with a 2560x1600 pixels resolution, matching what's found in the Tab Pro series. Both the tablets run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE both come with an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash, while also housing a 2.1-megapixel front camera.
Both the tablets come with SIM card support and also with voice-calling functionality, according to the official listings. The new Galaxy Tab S series tablets allows for up to eight user profiles, so that different members of a household can get separate home screens simply by swiping their finger on the sensor, according to Samsung.
Notably,
Samsung has launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (2.3GHz quad-core with Adreno 330 GPU) chipset variants of the Galaxy Tab S range of tablets in India. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE packs a 4900mAh battery and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE comes with 7900mAh battery.
