Engadget spotted the ads by Samsung first, and claims that the large advertisement at the South Hall of Las Vegas Convention Centre shows the company's yet-to-be-announced Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab Pro tablets. The alleged ad reveals the stylus and SIM card support for the Galaxy Note Pro, however there is no word on other innards of the device. The alleged ad displays the "Samsung Galaxy Note Pro" name, along with a "Galaxy Tab Pro also available" tagline. The ad appears to show only the Galaxy Note Pro tablet, in its White colour variant.
According to the report, the alleged Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro will come in two screen sizes - 8.4-inch and 10.1-inch. However, there is no mention of any other specifications of the alleged Galaxy Tab Pro tablet.
On the other hand, the alleged Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet was recently said to have been spotted in a benchmark listing, which purportedly revealed the specifications of the tablet.
On the specifications front, the alleged Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is said to pack a 12.2-inch display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio; a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with Adreno 330 GPU; 3GB of RAM; an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.
For connectivity, the upcoming Samsung tablet is likely to pack Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth and an IR Blaster. The rumoured Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is further said to run Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Samsung's new TouchWiz UI on top.
Samsung has already revealed its intentions of focussing on the tablet segment in 2014. With this leaked ad, it seems likely the South Korean manufacturer will start by introducing two new tablets at CES.
