The site mentions that customers will be required to pay Rs. 2,000 in advance and the pre-booking offer includes a free book cover worth Rs. 3,249.
The T&C of pre-booking states that consumers who have pre-booked the Note 8000 will be notified by e-mail at the time of its launch. It also mentions that the product will be dispatched on a first-come-first served basis.
Further more, while the Galaxy Note 10.1 will ship with Ice Cream Sandwich on-board, the Korean manufacturer has announced that the tablet will get updated to Android 4.1 before the year ends. However, there is no official word on the exact time for the update.
If Samsung looks to dig in for a greater share of the Android pie with its stylus embedded Note 10.1, it should find a way to ship with Android Jelly Bean on-board.
Rumour has it that the Samsung Galaxy S III is also expected to receive the Jelly Bean update pretty soon. Though nothing has been officially revealed, we'll keep our fingers crossed until the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
The tablet will be up against Apple's iPad and Google's Nexus 7. It features a 10.1-inch screen with 1280x800 pixels, a5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera, a 1.4GHz quad Core Processor, 2GB RAM and comes with an S-Pen for doodling notes.
In the US, the basic 16GB version costs $499 while the 32GB model is priced at $549 and allows for 64GB expansion with an external memory card.
