The tablet runs on Android 4.0 and sports a capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels.
It is powered by a 1.2GHz single-core processor and comes with a 5600mAh battery. The tablet boats HD video playback capabilities and also features an HDMI port. It has a front camera for video chats.
Educational content features interactive study material for CBSE, State boards and other competitive exams. Users can also access the company's M! Store for a range of apps optimized for the tablet. Whats more, the company is bundling Tata Photon+ data device with an additional 1GB download offer for the first two months.
Company also revealed that it has sold over 1,40,000 units of its first Funbook tablet and plans to add more tablets to the Funbook family within a span of one month. These tablet will be called the Funbook Alpha and the Funbook Infinity.
Funbook Alpha will be priced lower than the original 7-inch tablet and will come bundled with enterprise features. The tablet will not have an HDMI out port unlike original Funbook.
On the other hand, the Funbook Infinity will feature a 2MP rear camera, in addition to the usual front facing camera. This will be a first in the Funbook family.
Apart from this, the company has also launched a new Micromax Ferrari Opus MMX144F Data card. It supports net surfing speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps.
The data card also features multiple operating system support, SIM support, 3G support via USB dongle Expandable Memory up to 32 GB, and Zero-CD Installation. The data card is light weight and comes with a one year warranty.
