Jolla on Wednesday announced that its crowdfunding campaign to produce the tablet has come to an end. The company in a tweet announced the success of its crowdfunding project and referred to it as "amazing campaign."

Jolla's campaign raised a total of $1,824,055 by December 10. Notably, the company had initially targeted to raise just $380,000 in the campaign. The Finnish company however saw huge response and managed to exceed the goal in a few hours, with the company reaching $1 million mark within 48 hours and then offered a price cut on the Jolla smartphone.

Seeing the response, the Finnish company last month had announced three stretch goals out of which the company met two before the closing of the campaign. The company reached its second stretch goal of $1.75 million on Tuesday and said it will bring split screen support mode to Sailfish OS.

When announcing the stretch goals, the company had claimed that the split screen support mode was the most-wanted software feature by its community. Split screen feature is expected to be rolled out as a software update by Q3 of 2015.

The campaign on Indiegogo reached the first stretch goal on December 5 reaching $1.5 million and this will add 128GB microSDHC card support, as opposed to the current 32GB microSD card support.

The Finnish brand however missed the third stretch goal that could have added 3.5G cellular connectivity to Jolla Tablet. The company had promised that consumers would be able to buy a 3.5G Jolla Tablet for just $30 more than the price of the Wi-Fi only Jolla tablet. However, the tablet will miss the cellular connectivity feature now.

To refresh, the Jolla Tablet features a 7.85-inch display with a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels and offers a pixel density of 330ppi. It runs Sailfish OS 2.0 version and offers a gesture-based interface. The Jolla Tablet is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel (unspecified chipset) processor alongside 2GB of RAM. The tablet includes 32GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to additional 32GB). The tablet sports 5-megapixel rear camera while there is a 2-megapixel front camera also on board. The rear camera can record full-HD videos at 60fps.

It is backed by a 4300mAh battery. The Wi-Fi only tablet also comes with Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and GPS.
