The Dell Venue 8 7000 Series Android Tablet is just 6mm thick and comes with a 8.4-inch 2560x1600 OLED display. The tablet comes with Intel RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera that is able to capture depth information related to each image, not dissimilar to the camera seen in the HTC One (M8) (Review | Pictures). This means that using Dell Gallery software, users can perform functions like refocus parts of an image after clicking and apply filters to select parts of an image. The Dell Gallery software also includes a measure mode that lets you get real world dimensions of objects you have clicked.
Venue 8 7000 Series tablet will be powered by an Intel Atom Z3500 processor. Dell also announced that there will be a larger, 10-inch variant of the device, while Intel confirmed that apart from the Wi-Fi variant of the tablet, an SKU with the Intel XMM 7260 LTE modem inside capable of reaching LTE speeds up to 300mbps will also be available.
Dell and Intel did not reveal other details about the tablet but did say that the device will be available in time for the holiday season later this year.
