The company simultaneously announced plans to soon launch world's first ever wireless charging tablet, the 'ICE Xtreme- II', and a pico computer to transform regular LED/LCD TV sets into smart computing devices.
The tablet will be sold at a price of Rs. 6,999. The budget tablet is targeted at the youth and young professionals in Tier-I and II cities, who seek value for money without compromising on quality and technology, ICE X Electronics Managing Director Ravi Jakhar told reporters.
India's tablet market has a potential to grow at over 2 million pieces per annum, Jakhar said.
The ICE Xtreme will be primarily sold through ICE X online store to minimise distribution costs and pass on the resultant benefits to the buyer.
It will also be available across select consumer electronic chains across India eventually.
