To update Acer Iconia Tab A500, consumers will have to download the Iconia Tab Update Enhancement app from Google Play. This app will automatically retrieve the ICS update and install it on your tablet.
On the other hand, MediaPad users will have to manually download the Android 4.0 update file from Huawei servers and follow the instructions to update their device.
The Android 4.0 update includes updated browser with faster rendering, swipe to dismiss notifications, redesigned app launcher, new system font and the updated "People" application. Other improvements include enhanced text input and spell-checking as well as redesigned gallery app with photo editor.
Originally launched last year, Huawei MediaPad is currently available in the market for Rs. 28,000, while Acer's Iconia Tab A500 sells for Rs. 26,500.
