HP has started selling four new Android tablets, namely the Slate10 HD,  Slate7 Plus, Slate7 Extreme and Slate8 Pro, that it announced in September, on its website in the US.

The company had initially promised a November launch for the tablets but it there seems to have been a slight delay.

Two of the Android 4.2 tablets are powered by Nvidia's new Tegra 4 processor, while the other two are powered by a Marvell and a Tegra 3 chip, respectively.

The HP Slate10 HD tablet has been priced at $299.99. The 10.1-inch tablet features a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It's powered by a 1.2GHz Marvell SoC PXA986 Dual-Core chip and 1GB DDR3 RAM. The tablet comes with internal storage capacity of 16GB expandable via a microSD card, and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The tablet supports Wi-Fi connectivity  and sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus that supports up to 1080p recording, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera that supports 720p recording. The tablet has a 7000 mAh battery and features Beats Audio.

The HP Slate8 Pro is the company's top of the line tablet. Powered by an 1.8GHz Nvidia Tegra 4 A15 (4+1 cores) chip and 1GB RAM, the tablet's 8-inch WVA (wide-viewing angle) multi-touch display sports a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The tablet supports Wi-Fi connectivity  and features an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, that supports HD recording, and a front-facing camera that supports 720p recording. The tablet has a 5680 mAh battery and features Beats Audio. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and offers an internal storage capacity of 16GB expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. It's priced at $329.99.

The HP Slate7 Extreme features a 7-inch WVA IPS HD multi-touch-enabled display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Nvidia Tegra 4 A15 (4+1 cores) chip and 1GB RAM. The tablet supports Wi-Fi connectivity  and features a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and a VGA fixed-focus front-facing camera. It offers 16GB of internal storage and comes with a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The tablet comes with a 4100 mAh battery and is priced at $199.99.

HP has also updated its Slate 7 tablet, with a new variant, Slate7 Plus. The tablet is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage but comes with a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). The tablet supports Wi-Fi connectivity and sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus that supports up to 720p recording, and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a 4000mAh battery and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The tablet costs $149.99.
