Huawei Terminal's Honor brand on Wednesday unveiled the new Honor 5C smartphone in India. The Chinese company also unveiled the brand new Honor T1 7.0 tablet priced at Rs. 6,999. The tablet will go on sale via Flipkart starting Wednesday at 2pm IST. It will be available in Silver colour only.
The biggest highlight of the Honor T1 7.0 tablet is it supports SIM (single Micro-SIM) and comes with voice-calling capability. The tablet also supports GPRS/ EDGE and 3G connectivity options.
It features a 7-inch WSVGA (1024x600 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 169ppi. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731G) processor paired with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The Honor T1 7.0 supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). It runs Emotion UI 3.0 based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The tablet sports 2-megapixel front and rear fixed-focus cameras. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB-OTG support, and Micro-USB. The Honor T1 7.0 is backed by a 4100mAh battery, another notable feature of the tablet. The company at the launch claimed that the Honor T1 7.0 tablet can deliver up to 12 hours of continuous movie playback. It is rated to deliver up to 300 hours of standby time. It measures 191.8x107x8.5mm and weighs 278 grams.
The Honor 5C, priced at Rs. 10,999, will go on sale via Flipkart and HiHonor.com in its first flash sale on June 30, with registrations opening at 2pm Wednesday. It comes with a 15-month warranty, and screen replacement warranty for the first month.
