Google seems to be planning to release the first 10-inch Nexus tablet, reports CNET. The search giant has reportedly partnered with Samsung to build this device.

According to CNET, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch Richard Shim claims that this alleged Nexus 10 tablet will come display boasting of pixel density more than Apple's new iPad. The new iPad features 264 PPI on the 9.7-inch 2,048x1,536p retina display and Google's upcoming tablet will top it with a 2,560x1,600p display with 299 PPI.

The analyst states that this is going to be a high-end device unlike Nexus 7, which was priced starting $199, which means Nexus 10 will directly compete with Apple iPad. Interestingly, this reports comes at a time when the Cupertino based iPad maker is planning to take on Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire at the cheaper end of the market with its own 7.85-inch mini iPad.

Samsung, which is going to build this tablet, has already worked with Google on two Nexus smartphones - Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S.

Shim claims to have got this information from supply chain sources and he also confirmed that Google will start the production of rumoured $99 Nexus 7 variant in December.

32GB Nexus 7
Meanwhile, the 32GB version of Nexus 7 tablet has become imminent as it was accidentally shipped to a Japanese buyer from Google Play. The buyers had ordered 16GB version, but to his surprise, when he opened the box, he found a 32GB version inside.

This indicates that 32GB version of the tablet is already in production and could be announced very soon.
