A new report has claimed that Google is working on a new tablet with Pixel branding. The company has previously launched two Chromebook Pixel laptops but the company is said to be planning to bring the Pixel branding for its new tablet.

Android Police reports that unlike the first two Pixel-branded devices, the new Pixel C is a tablet which will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow instead of Chrome OS. The report speculates that Google may talk about its upcoming Pixel C tablet at its Tuesday event. However, it adds that the device is likely to be released in November.

Codenamed Ryu, the alleged Pixel C tablet is said to feature a 10.2-inch display with a pixel density of 308ppi. Under the hood, the tablet is likely to be powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra X1 processor coupled with Maxwell GPU. The device is said to be backed by 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM. For the build, the Pixel C tablet is said to take cues from its laptop line featuring an aluminium chassis.

The report claims that the Pixel C will look like the existing Chromebook Pixel laptop, minus the keyboard. The company is also said to be working on accessories for the Pixel tablet including a keyboard accessory which is said to be available in choices of aluminium and leather. Both the keyboards could be attached to the tablet.

Similar to the Chromebook Pixel, the Pixel C tablet is said to retain the light-bar on the back that will glow to show battery life. Some of the other features rumoured for the Pixel C include a USB Type-C charger.

The report stresses that Google's Pixel C tablet will not feature any OEM branding and will be targeted at a different audience.
