Apple slashes first gen iPad prices by Rs. 3000

After Apple slashed $100 on all iPad 1 models in the US, it has announced a similar price cut in India.

After Apple slashed $100 on all iPad 1 models in the US, it has announced a similar price cut in India. The price cut in India is close to Rs. 3000 on each model. Instead of paying Rs. 27,900 for the entry-level 16GB Wi-Fi only version you will now pay Rs. 24,500. The new prices of the first gen iPad are as follows:

16GB Wi-Fi: Rs. 24,500 (Old Price: Rs. 27,900)

16GB 3G+Wi-Fi Rs. 31,900 (Old Price: Rs. 34,900)

32GB Wi-Fi Rs. 29,500 (Old Price: Rs. 32,900)

32GB 3G+Wi-Fi Rs. 36,900 (Old Price: Rs. 39,900)

64GB Wi-Fi Rs. 34,500 (Old Price: Rs. 37,900)

64GB 3G+Wi-Fi Rs. 41,900 (Old Price: Rs. 44,900)

Steve Jobs launched the iPad 2 on March 2 in San Fransico. It will be available in the US from March 11. India launch dates have not been announced. If you are interested in buying the second-generation iPad (the iPad 2),eBay.in has listed the 16GB Wi-Fi only version for Rs 35,900, a 50 percent premium from its $499 (Rs. 22,492) price tag.
