Apple has started rolling out an update to its iPad Pro Smart Keyboard, which was launched alongside the iPad Pro itself. The software update fixes the connectivity issues.
The update solves the issue of iPad Pro waking from sleep randomly when connected to the keyboard. The update also fixes issues where sometimes the Command tab shortcut does not navigate to the app-switcher, says 9to5Mac.
The Cupertino-based firm has also posted a support document on its website stating the purpose of the update. "If your iPad Pro wakes up from time to time when it's connected to a Smart Keyboard, here's what to do. To solve this issue, disconnect the Smart Keyboard from your iPad Pro, and then connect it again. When iOS asks if you want to update the Smart Keyboard, tap Update."
Last month Apple released iOS 9.3 beta to developers, as well as the general public. Among other features such as Night Shift and Shared iPad, the Cupertino-based company also made the iPad Pro capable of feeding firmware updates to the accessories meant to connect to its Smart Connector. Prior to iOS 9.3 beta, if a user needed to update their iPad Pro accessory, they had to connect it to a Mac computer.
The iOS 9.3 Preview for public testers has introduced multi-user mode on iPad for schools, and a night-mode for all that aims to enhance the viewing experience on iPhone and iPad during the night hours. The Cupertino-based company is calling the night-mode Night Shift. The feature, if enabled, changes the white balance of the screen in accordance with the time and your geographic location to suit your eyes.
