Starting with Acer Iconia Tab 8 W, the company has announced that the device will launch in EMEA countries (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in October for about EUR 149 (approximately Rs. 11,800) and in Pan America for $149.99 (approximately Rs. 9,000) in November.
The Iconia Tab 8 W runs Windows 8.1 and features an 8-inch 1280x800 pixel resolution IPS display. The tablet is powered by an Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor (base clock 1.33GHz, up to 1.83GHz) coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet from Acer offers 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (unknown maximum capacity). Acer is also bundling the Iconia Tab 8 W with one year's subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook. The tablet device is 9.75mm thick and weighs around 370 grams. The tablet also comes with an optional full-size Acer Crunch Keyboard.
The other two Acer tablet launched at IFA run on Android - the Iconia Tab 10 and Iconia One 8. Both tablets run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The company has announced the Iconia Tab 10 is priced at $199 (approximately Rs. 12,000) and will be available in September in US, while the Iconia One 8 will be available in EMEA countries in October at EUR 149 (approximately Rs. 11,800).
The Acer Iconia Tab 10 features a 10.1-inch full-HD IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology and anti-fingerprint coating. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor (unknown clock-speed). At present, Acer has not detailed any other specifications for the tablet, but has said that it features Dolby Digital Plus surround sound speakers and 5.1 channel sound over stereo headphones.
Similar to the Acer Iconia Tab 10, the Iconia One 8 also features Zero Air Gap technology for its 8-inch IPS 1280x800 pixels resolution display. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G Bay Trail processor.
The Acer Iconia One 8 will come in 10 different colours - Jade Green, Sunshine Yellow, Vivid Orange, Sky Blue, Essential White, Midnight Black, Fragrant Pink, Violet Purple, Mia Blue, and Garnet Red.
