Acer has officially announced the 7-inch Iconia B1-A71 tablet at CES in Las Vegas.
We had earlier
reported about the tablet's impending India debut at a price tag of Rs. 7,999. Acer's press release quotes a price of tag of "under $150", which in line with what we've heard from our sources.
The cat is out of the bag on the specs, and they are in line with what we've reported earlier. The Iconia B1-A71 comes with a 7-inch WSVGA capacitive multitouch display and is powered by the Mediatek dual-core 1.2GHz processor (MTK 8317T) alongside 512MB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage, expandable by 32GB using the microSD slot. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. As expected, the tablet runs Android Jelly Bean.
As reported
earlier, our sources indicate that Acer Iconia B1-A71 is expected to launch in India by the end of this month carrying a price tag of Rs. 7,999.
