DATAWIND is a leading provider of wireless web access products and services. The company is known for its Akash low-cost Android tablet computer. The Indian government used this tablet as a part of its initiative to link a large number of colleges and universities in the country to an e-learning programme. Datawind's latest mobile launch is the UbiSlate 7Cx. The tablet was launched in October 2013. The tablet comes with a 7.00-inch display with a resolution of 800 pixels by 480 pixels.

The Datawind UbiSlate 7Cx is powered by 1GHz one-core Cortex A8 processor and it comes with 512MB of RAM. The tablet packs 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.
