The Xperia Z is one of the main pillars of Sony's new plan to focus on mobile, gaming and imaging. The handset ushers in a new design language, one Sony's decided to bring to its new tablet too. It's called omnibalance design, but it's best described as a combination of 90-degree angles, even weight distribution and flat glossy sides. Once you get to look at the phone in person, all Xperias that came before it pale in comparison. The phone feels solid and you'd be hard-pressed to describe any part of it as plasticky. Between those mirrored sides, you'll find Sony's first 1080p phone display, measuring five inches and benefiting from the company's new Bravia Mobile Engine 2. Improvements to the Xperia line aren't merely cosmetic, though: Sony's added a 13-megapixel camera (featuring the HDR video-capable Exmor RS sensor) and a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro -- Qualcomm's most potent mobile processor currently available.These precious electronics are protected by a shell that's water- (IPX5/7) and dust-resistant (IP5X). Its the best of the lot.

I personally tired Sony, it is definitely better than SamSung. Especially the photographs! I believe Apple IPhone 6S and 7 is good too. Sony is extremely excellent in photographs (camera feature) and there are other new features. Check it out!

I got this phone as a gift from my brother so I din't have any previous knowledge about this device before using it although I was amazed by the phones look and built and I liked it when I saw it in ads. The phone in my hand felt perfect. the build quality is great and the first highlight is the back of phone which has a safety glass like sheet over it. the corners are sharp but do not pinch when you hold it because of the plastic used. 1.camera in the phone is the best and clearest I have seen in any device yet 13 mp camera has LED flash and image stabilization, touch focus. 2. it is called the first big phone from sony so the 5 inch screen is the big achievement, it has very vivid colors and pixel density of 440 ppi is too good. full Hd displays makes watching video an amazing experience. 3. the phone is quick and snappy and never experiences a lag. 4. battery is not that impressive i have to charge it atleast twice a day but i use it vigorously. now i checked the price online and it is reduced upto 26K in some sites so this is a great buy for sony lovers but don't forget the phone is a bit older now in this era of latest gadgets so choose wisely.

This is an average phone according to me because it has that features but still it sucks The camera quality is good but there is a problem of overheating and some times when you call someone then it does says does not exists but after sometime it would call the contact on its own

I bought new Sony Xperia Z six and half months back from Flipkart.com now by paying Rs 31000 from my day and night hard work earned money; thinking it is one of the best phones, but I was wrong. According to the company policies I was said as such- 1 year warranty,6 months accidental coverage - wherein your whole phone will be replaced within the time period...i took Sony Xperia Z as it is a water resistant phone; which are really fake promises. Never trust them. Recently my power button has stopped working so when I went for the same to service centre,they said your warranty period is over since this is the 7th month running so we will send your phone to the company providing you with a discount of 20% or 50% on new purchase depending on your phone's conditions. I was traumatized to hear that. After realizing this many issues of the phone why the hell will I go for the same brand again. The Sony company is blindly cheating on people like us and bluffing too. They are not trustworthy. Why we spend so much of money on a phone so as to use it for lifetime. Worst experience and a very very bad decision of buying a Sony phone. Dont even do a mistake of going on its name as I did. At this point of Time there's only one thing that can be done is that just go and file a complaint against this under the 'Customer Court'.

Great specs and performance. Stylish design and good glass body.There is nothing I dislike.I would recommend this phone for the above points.

before i review this, let me tell u that I personally hate sony. Still i couldnt take my eyes off this beautiful beast. Pros: 1. Fastest smartphone available at the moment. 2. extremely strong glass on front and back....shatterproof! 3. Very slim waistline, attractive design, pleasant to hold. 4. 5 inch display...441 ppi...thats 1.5 times the iphone 5. 5. Amazing camera and camera gestures. 6. New custom sony ui to go with android 4.1 soon to be followed by 4.2 update. 7. amazing battery life, 9 hours of video ...that is 4 movies in a single stretch! 8. Priced very well...i know 38k is a lot but if u look back, s3 was launched at same price and this beast is twice as powerful to that one. 9. Waterprood and dustproof! Cons: 1. no android 4.2 but that is soon to follow. 2. medium sound volume in loudspeaker. 3. non-removable battery but that isnt a problem to many. so if u are eager to buy a smartphone with roaring power, style and elegance...xperia z should be your top preferance. COMPETETION: 1. Galazy s3/htc one x: this two phones are current market leaders but xperia z is capable enough to show them their age...it beats both of them in every possible department. 2. Galaxy S4: this is a good alternative as it has an octa core processor but that is not really an advantage because that model wont be launched in india. Indian model will have snapdragon s3 that is a little powerful than xperia z cipset but trust me u wont need that power....and s4 is poorly designed as compared to xperia z. The only advantage is out of box android 4.2. And s4 will cost much more than xperia Z. 3. Htc One: this is the best smartphone designed till date. Its snappier than xperia Z, comes close to or even beats xperia z in looks. Beautiful sense UI on andoid 4.1. Excellent camera gestures. BUt... 1.its not available yet. 2. no memory expansion . 3. 4 ultrapixel camera....its very good but new to the market and we cant be sure about its performance. 4. A little smaller display 4.7 inches...but 469 ppi makes up for it and one has the best display in mobile world. So at the moment....Xperia Z should be the top preference if u dont wanna wait and spend a little extra cash on s4 or htc one. Kudos to sony for this amazing product!

Working perfectly.. no lag.. Awesome design and display.. Good battery life.. Excellent Camera...Adroid 4.2.2 update working smoothly.Only issue is a bit of heating on playing heavy games..

I would recommend this Mobile as a must buy...It came with a leather case..which blurs the front camera path when used.Since its a free.. Minor issues can be ignored.The headphone was also not working..got it replaced. No problem with phone so far..Pretty happy as of now.-Amar

Have had an eye for this device for a long time now. This is the first time that I am experiencing a Sony mobile. As usual Flipkart has delivered this well in time. Till now I have been seeing the beauty of this beast only on various websites. But once you hold it in your hands its just WOW! An impression I got from a video demo on Digit (ThinkDigit) is that the Z's colors look washed out and the display is pale as compared to the Nokia Lumia. I don't know if the problem is with the angle at which the Xperia Z is kept or something, but both the phones were kept side by side with the display turned on.

It's categorized wrong on flipkart. It's not a smartphone. It's A SUPERPHONE! Still waiting for mine :) Used it for half hour in sony center :P It's one of the best phone available in market :) It looks damn sexy Thank you sony for such an Awesome device :)

For quite sometime i have been asking myself, how ppl can go for such expensive mobiles of 40K and +. But when I saw the official video of this phone from Sony. Oh God! It swept me of my feat completely. It is amazing in every aspect of a phone. Stylish, Slim, Full HD, Fastest and mainly you don't need to be bothered when you are around water area. I pre-ordered the phone from Flipkart as soon it was made available last week. Flipkart is yet the deliver the phone to me. But its okay. If you are getting the best, you have to wait.. Right?? :)

The good: 1) The Sony xperia z draws the eye with its sleek, stylish looks and It also offers a wide range of functions 2)Offering a 28mm equivalent fixed lens with a fast aperture of F2.2 Xperia Z also boasts a 13 megapixel Exmor RS image sensor. The bad: 1.) Xperia z does not come with the latest version of android. 2)the back portion of the phone often heats up during heavy games. verdict- With a cutting-edge camera, a super-slim design and the ability to withstand life's knocks and bumps the Xperia Z is a phone that's got us fired up about Sony Mobile again but i would recommend u to wait for new smartphone like SGS4 and htc one to launch in the indian market!

I bought this device 3 days ago.I am impressed by it's performance in heavy game titles.No lags in NOVA 3 and others.Used samsung before.I moved on to it.Really good choice for 2013 buyers. PROS: 1. Best reality display,Bravia Engine 2,Videos and movies ar crisp,Amazingly sharp 2. Fast processor that is enough for high end games,2 gb Ram is responsive. 3.No shuttering in touch as used to be in previous genaration Xperia phones. 4.Build quality is awesome(Water and Dust proof) 5.Camera is aweeeesome.Takes pictures in 1080p.super auto mode automatically detects environmental condition.Suppose not everytime you have to select macro mode or adjust outdoor visibility on as it is in samsung or other high end devices.Takes pictures while you record video.Burst mode is awesome.just long press click button on screen and it takes 15 pics in few seconds. 6.sensor is good. 7.Battery back up is nice.with 2330mhz battery you'll get peace.Stamina mode helps to save your battery for 3-4 days in idle. 8.In this phone u can decide which softwares should run and which should not. 9.package comes with a nice big headphone and a premium black hard case.U dont need to get out ur phone from it and to connect.Charger is usb supprted. 10.sony signatured keyboardlike swype is one of my favorite.voice recognition is 100 percent correct.fast response. CONS: Display could have been better.viewing angle is not soo great. Phone feels bigger when to make calls or receive. It heats up a bit when bravia engine is turned on while watching movies or videos. no new technologies like smart stay, smart scroll or translator.
