Launched back in 2018, the Sony WH-1000XM3 has widely been considered among the best wireless active noise cancelling headphones you can buy. It was also, in my opinion, the first pair of headphones from Sony (or indeed any other brand) that truly gave Bose's fabled active noise cancellation a run for its money. However, along came 2020, and the ever-improving competition has been making the Sony WH-1000XM3 look increasingly dated. Things have finally changed for Sony with the highly anticipated launch of the Sony WH-1000XM4.

The Sony WH-1000XM4 wireless active noise cancelling headphones are the latest in the company's flagship range, priced at Rs. 29,990. The headphones feature class-leading active noise cancellation and wireless sound quality, with support for the LDAC Bluetooth codec and excellent tuning. Coming nearly two years after the WH-1000XM3 headphones, the WH-1000XM4 is among the best noise cancelling headphones you can buy today.
The headphones come with useful features such as speak-to-chat and hear-through, which add to the excellent noise cancellation and sound quality. There's very little to complain of here, and Sony's latest headset gives competition from Bose, Shure, and Sennheiser a run for its money.
