The fast-growing Russian Twitter users prompted the microblogging service to introduce a Russian-language interface in April.

According to comScore - a global measurement service - Twitter users have more than doubled in a year, to 190 million till May.

Glavtwit.ru has estimated Russian-language Twitter users at 820,000.
