Professional social network LinkedIn on Wednesday announced the roll-out of new features to its LinkedIn Premium users to make their profiles standout. It includes a new profile design, personalized suggestions, tracking ability and more.

All the current Premium Business/ Business Plus members will have access to the new features without any additional charge. The company has also introduced a new starter package called Premium Spotlight for new users. It will consist of all the new features.

Premium Business services start at Rs. 1,200 per month, but new starter package Premium Spotlight costs Rs. 600 per month. LinkedIn as usual, has cheaper annually-billed plans for the same.

The design now looks inspired from Facebook and Twitter; just like them, users can now upload cover photos on their LinkedIn profile pages, along with a larger profile photo. Presently it is limited to premium members only, but the company is planning to roll it out to all members soon.

"In a few months, all members will be able to add a custom profile background," Dmitry Shevelenko from LinkedIn wrote on the blog.

Premium Business users will also be given personalised suggestions to optimise their profiles with top keywords so that recruiters can see a user profile on top of their search results. A new 'Open' profile option will also be available to users, allowing every LinkedIn member to see their full profile for free.

With the new tracking feature LinkedIn Premium users will now be able to see a full 90-day list of who have viewed their profile.

"We want your LinkedIn profile to reflect your unique brand. To enable a more personal feel, we've incorporated several new visual updates to help you stand out," Shevelenko added.

LinkedIn in April announced it has over 300 million registered users.
