Microblogging site Twitter also celebrated in it's own way, with Tweets topping 200 per second

According to a tweet on the Independent, the frequency of #royalwedding tweets was 237 tweets per second.

William and Kate are now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, after a lavish ceremony in Westminster Abbey.
