Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday paid tribute to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who died earlier in the day of cancer at age 56.
"Steve, thank you for being a mentor and a friend," Zuckerberg wrote in a posting on Facebook, the world's leading online social network.
"Thanks for showing that what you build can change the world. I will miss you."
Jobs, who died after a years-long long battle with cancer, revolutionized modern culture with Apple's ubiquitous inventions like the iPod and the iPad.
