Google is planning to revamp two of its popular services, Blogger and Picasa, Mashable reported. These services will be integrated with Google+ and renamed Google Blog and Google Photos. Blogger was acquired in 2003 and Picasa in 2004.

The California based company intends to unify all services for easier access under Google+.

The services will be revamped in a month or maybe even as early as 31st July 2011.

Speculation online suggests that Google will also rename other portals to be integrated with Google+. The only exception in this case seems to be YouTube, though it's not clear why YouTube's been left out of the mix. Google plans to integrate these services before the public launch of Google+.

This could be the move gives Google+ the edge it requires to take on the current king of social networking - Facebook.

The Google+ app is already available on the Android Market Place for all Android devices and the iOS app is awaiting Apple's approval. With the Google+ Android app, updating images, status and sharing your location can be done with absolute ease.
