Noise-cancelling headphones are no match
Ryhope1 (May 7, 2018)

Noise-cancelling headphones are no match for good standard ones, if sound quality is what you're looking for - in my opinion. However, having compared this with another (more expensive) noise-cancelling brand, I find this to be superior in every imaginable respect - yes, including the sound quality. It looks and feels very well made, and is a great substitute to its wireless, more expensive sibling, the PXC550 (and arguably better). The noise-cancelling feature is highly effective too.

The sound of these are extremely good and the noise cancellation is the best I,ve ever used. In regards to noise cancellation, they are far superior to my older Bose QE2. Probably not a fair comparison because technology is always improving and I,m sure the newer Bose are amazing too.

I've owned over-ear headphones from

I've owned over-ear headphones from a few different brands (Beats, Audio-Technica, V-moda) and in terms of noise cancellation these are excellent. Even without the active noise cancelling turned on it still blocks out most normal noise like speaking, traffic, and other general noises that other people make. With active noise cancelling turned on the environmental noise is almost completely gone.I also like the minimal design of the headphones, it's nice that there isn't a giant ugly logo anywhere on them like some other brands. The sound quality is very good however I prefer another brand for general-use listening. This Sennheiser set is great for going out when I want to relax more and NOT have to hear everything that's happening around me.
