It's been a tumultuous year for Samsung. Buoyant and complacent with being the world's most successful Android smartphone vendor for ages, the Korean giant was perhaps not prepared for its Galaxy S5 flagship last year to be so roundly criticised for not breaking any new ground. The heart rate sensor was pretty much mostly a gimmick, and the glossy plastic body did it no favours when seen next to its competition. Chinese brands have started having an impact on its low-end and mid-range sales, and Lollipop updates for older devices have been coming too slowly, if at all.Samsung's image has lost a lot of its former sheen; even more so when it comes to the top-end Galaxy S range. Under more pressure than ever before, the company is betting on a major reinvention. Gone is the cheap plastic, in favour of slick aluminium. Gone is the heavy TouchWiz skin with dozens of settings and features that no one ever used - the software is more restrained than ever.

With a metal body and a new focus, Samsung's Galaxy S6 is designed to make up for ground lost to competitors in the past year or two. The company has focused its efforts on giving end users the experience they now demand from flagship phones, and if that means sacrificing features such as a removable battery and expandable storage, then so be it. Luckily, performance is phenomenal, and so is the camera. Battery life is strong and the screen is vibrant. Samsung’s software bloat has finally been reined in though fans of pure Android should look elsewhere. The Galaxy S6 is a winner and should make everyone very happy.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Features and what users think on this mobileHarsha S (Aug 26, 2015) on Gadgets 360Samsung S6 is definitely a beauty from the outside with some best specs from the inside. The phone is fantastic fast when compared to other peers and loaded with a 3GB RAM and a 64 bit octa core processor, no lag, multitasking is like a cakewalk with a buttery smooth touch. The display being super AMOLED (2560x1440) and a ppi of 577 is the best in the current market and better than the Note4.The 16MP rear camera is also good with smart optical image stabilization being it's best feature.The finger print scanner works too good and is way better than what was in the S5. The wireless charging feature is also fairly good.The look of the phone feels great, premium and the build quality is very good and feels great when you hold it in your hand .The dual edge screen is also of great use and the S6 edge is actually better than the S6 when it comes to looks. Overall the phone is super awesome and is the best flagship smartphone samsung has ever released and is the best flagship in the current market.The only con is it's battery as it is 2600Mah battery, it drains battery pretty fast with the beastly specs under the S6's hood. For those who like to go with brands this could be the one with an higher cost on 50k+ , just go for it blindly without a second thought.Is this review helpful?
