Whether it's on PC, consoles, or smartphones, these days almost everyone downloads and plays games. If you're one of these people, you're probably wondering if there's a way to get a discount on some of these games. Turns out that there is a way to do that on every major gaming platform. Avid gamers and passionate deal hunters Rishi Alwani and Mikhail Madnani join host Pranay Parab to help people save money while buying games.
This episode of Transition begins with some friendly advice for all game buyers. Patience is a virtue, unless certain pre-order gifts are on offer. Mikhail and Rishi explain when they wait and when they hit the pre-order button and their advice is likely to help every game buyer out there.
Then we move to a platform-by-platform talk of the best deals and when to look for them. This starts with PC games, where Steam, Humble Bundle, Origin, and GOG offer plenty of awesome discounts throughout the year. Then we move to PS4, where deals aren't as easy to come by. That's followed by two short segments on the Xbox One and Nintendo's platforms, where discounts are hard to come by. Finally we talk about finding the best deals on Android and iOS games.
The second part of the show involves a discussion on the Lego Batman Movie, which may just be the funniest animated movie released in the last few years. We talk about the story (or lack thereof) and the relentless pacing that makes this movie a laugh-a-minute ride. The creators offer a light-hearted take on Batman, which pop culture nerd Akhil Arora appreciates greatly.
