Lava XOLO X900 recently went on sale in the Indian market for Rs. 22,000. It is the first smartphone to come with Intel's processor inside
The device is backed by a 1460 mAh battery
Introduced as a part of Lava's all new XOLO brand, X900 features a 4.03-inch 1024x600p resolution display
On the left panel is a speaker and a HDMI out port
The smartphone support micro-SIM card and includes a SIM remover in the box
Bottom is pretty much clean apart from the Micro-USB cum charging port
The top panel has a 3.5 mm jack and the power button
Featuring a rectangular shape, XOLO X900 reminds of iPhone 4/4S , it is similar in looks with the chrome ring and button placement
Among other features of the smartphone, it comes with an 8-megapixels rear camera and 1.3MP front camera
The 4.03-inch display on the smartphone is pretty decent and offer 375 nits of brightness and 295 PPI
XOLO X900 features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2460 with HT and is likely to remain in India only
Based on Intel's reference design, it has been manufactured by Intel itself
The overall design of the smartphone is pretty simple and feels light in the hand
Sporting Android 2.3.7, XOLO X900 is scheduled to get the Ice Cream Sandwich update in the third quarter of this year
X900 also comes with Near Field Communication hardware, but it is pretty much useless as you cannot do anything with it right now, but after the Android 4.0, at least we will be able to use Android beam
XOLO X900 sports a rubberised back and has a secondary mic alongside the rear camera
On the downside, the battery-cover of the smartphone is not user-removable. However, we were able to do so with a little effort (not recommended for consumers) and spot a microSD card slot inside the phone, which is not activated in software of the smartphone
X900 is technically the first Intel powered smartphone to ship worldwide
The microSD card slot that is not included in the software of the phone can be seen
Overall as the first Intel phone, Lava XOLO X900 gives some decent performance, but Intel has a lot of work to do to produce a hit smartphone
