We've just got our hands on the secret Facebook app for the iPad, which is still not officially available on Apple's App store. To access this app you will need to jail break your iPad. The app works on both the iPad 1 and the iPad 2. So here's a quick look what the app has to offer
Friend requests can be easily viewed from the top navigation bar similar to Facebook on a normal web browser
The news feed and the chat window too is similar to the PC Facebook counterpart but it is optimized for the iPad's 9.7-inch display
You can visit your wall, photo, information and friend's tab from a navigation bar that rests on the left side of the screen under your profile pic. The icons are large and convenient to use on the touchscreen
Places uses the devices GPS to identify your location. You can also share your location with your friends
Navigating through your friends list is just like searching for a song on iTunes. You can either type their name in the search box or click on an alphabet on the right tab to see all your friends whose name begins with a particular letter
The events tab on the app is optimized for the 9.7-inch display as well. The left tab houses all your upcoming events whereas the right showcases the details of the event
You can respond to messages from the comfort of the home screen of the app. The keyboard is the standard iPad keyboard we all know and love
The menu button on the navigation bar displays all your personal information such as log in, feeds, messages, events, places, photos and more. The interface and navigation is pretty cool and one of the best we have seen on a tablet social networking app
All you messages can easily be viewed under the messages head from the navigation bar. You can choose to reply to a message without leaving the comfort of your home page
The notifications tab displays all the notifications you have received. Clicking on a notification takes you to the particular update. Its functions similar to the PC Facebook version
The photos tab segregates the photos as per your profile pics, albums and tags. Although it currently doesn't support multi-touch, it would be great if the photo viewer worked similar to the iPad's photo viewer app
Updating your status too is optimized for the iPad. You can click the status tab on the navigation bar. It gives you a pop up window that lets you update your status
