Trusted brand with good working

Great led with huge screen size in this cost,with 1080p. Vedio playing from pen drive hang sometime. Sound quality is not good.

It meets all my expectations, clear quality, good sound(I was hesitant before as many had given negative comments on sound quality but it's good). On time delivery by flipkart and they had taken care of scheduling the appointment by Philips Engineer by next day. I am liking the product, I would recommend this to others.

It was time for me to change my earlier LCD TV for Christmas (Philips again!) and I thought to myself, why not check this TV (Philips 42 inch Full HD LED TV : 42PFL5059). The TV was delivered in less than 4 days. The delivery team picked up the old TV under exchange. The engineer from Philips came home the next day and set it up. All of this was free of cost. I understand the Philips series 5000 is a mid-level full HD device that comes at an affordable price, but it has excellent features one would not expect with a TV in this price range. This relatively cheap TV looks cute. It combines a slender, high-gloss black bezel with a sleek metallic trim on the bottom edge and a well-built open-framed stand for the TV to sit on. It comes with Philips' second-tier Pixel Precise HD picture processing engine. Sharpness levels are extreme, delivering exceptional impact from HD sources as well as upscaling standard definition to a more HD-like level. TV does mostly quite well where contrast and black level response are concerned. This is singularly the most important aspect for a LED TV, thanks to its dynamic contrast feature. The video is still high definition, and it runs smoothly with a 240Hz refresh rate, which offers judder-free and clean motion handling. Overall the image?s high levels of sharpness and clarity are an emphatic plus point. As for color, one has the flexibility to be able to pick between ultra-vivid saturations right through to a subtle palette for home cinema. I found the colour blends look surprisingly natural. On the downside, the main speakers aren?t exactly hi-fi in their sensitivity and treble range and also limited by only 16W speakers, though it offers surround sound. In conclusion, in my opinion Philips 42PFL5059 is a good all-round model, offering strong picture and sound quality for its worth, along with an attractive design.

please dont use long hours beyond 8 hrs in a single stretch.the back light life goes soon, be cautious, otherwise the quality of picture is great.

Nice product for the price Got the tv at Rs.24989 during flipkart tv days.at this price u never get a branded tv ..only cons is that only 1 year warranty available if brought online ...sound seems to be good..picture awesome while viewing hd channels .refresh rate is 240 .remote looks cheap ..

All perfect: ease of order, delivery time, delivery process, installation, quality of product for it's range, ..... etc..... Then why only 4 stars??? BECAUSE: i read somewhere that though it has a 1 year warranty, as stated, it will not be eligible for extended warranty of 2 years after the 1 year warranty is over. don't think this was mentioned in the purchase screen. THIS IS BAD. and, apparently, this is so only because it was on-line purchase. WHY??? this is very disappointing. ruins the experience. i will dissuade others from making similar purchases if this is the state.

Philips had a offer valid for led tv larger than 32 inch purchased between March 1, 2016 through August 31, 2016. They were providing 3 years of free warranty however, since I purchased it through Flipkart, I was not eligible for this offer. I am very disappointed. Flipkart should also save the interest of its customers. You can purchase 3 years of additional warranty from Philips, which would cost 6100/-. Pros: 1. HD picture quality is awesome with Airtel HD+ set top box. SD channel picture quality is ok type. 2. Lot of people said that sound quality is not good. BUT I DON'T AGREE. To optimize the sound output, set the equalizer to max, bass to max and treble according to your needs 3. After sales service is good atleast in Delhi 4. Watched full hd movie from pen drive and after connecting laptop using hdmi cable. NO problems were found. Cons: 1. Only 2 hdmi and 1 usb port 2. Engineer told me that after warranty is over, their visiting charge is 1,500rs, panel would cost around 24,000rs and mother board would cost around 8,000rs. So must buy extended warranty from Philips (preferred) or from third party. Upto 3 years additional warranty can be bought from Philips

Hi its been a month i am using this tv Pros-good picture quality (i see only hd channels ) -easy operations -perfect size and bezel -no patch or spots on screen -value for money Cons- Audio quality is really poor .. Cannot be compared to sony Overall good product .
