Even I suggest all my relatives to change with Panasonic washing machine, if they are planning to replace their old one. It's reliable washing machine with such a genuine brand & affordable price range, compare to others. Must buy it..

I have used multiple Panasonic products and have some amount of loyalty to this brand but this washing machine has me a bit frustrated. It handles load well and does a decent job of washing and even some heavily soiled clothes were clean enough. It has a buzzer to alert you that sounds for nearly 30 seconds towards the end of the wash cycle. The drain pipe is towards the right side of the machine and the water inlet is on the left. This model does not come with an inlet water filter ? some other variants do. The body is ABS or such plastic. Machine feels light. There are wheels in the rear leg only. The front legs are flat providing stability. Washing tub does not seem like a smooth single piece construction. Bottom of the washing tub is not sloped to allow the water to drain naturally and also a small projection blocks water from draining easily. A small pool of water remains in the bottom after draining and requires to be wiped dry with a cloth. If you are the type who does not bother if the tub is dry after washing then ignore this. A lever is used to switch water between washing and spin. Unlike in most models the spin shower is flowing from the centre of the spin tub, assures better distribution. A good design this but it is spoiled by two things. 1. While water flows into the spin tub, if there is sufficient pressure of water (which is most likely) the water reverse flows significantly into the wash tub as well. A label has been pasted in the machine itself saying that if water flows in the reverse to reduce the water flow. Further the spin shower water inlet is again flat ? without any suitable slope. This leads to some amount of water falling onto the clothes when you finish spinning and open the lid to take out the cloth. The third issue is the ?magic filter?. Unlike the standard nylon mesh type lint filter, this one is pure plastic and has tiny holes to trap the lint. This is very inefficient and does not trap lint properly. When you drain the wash tub you see the left over lint which will pass through the drain pipe and may clog it over a period of time. I find lint stuck in most of my black clothes in nooks and crevices and this requires manual lint removal after drying ? time waste. Overall ? it does a nice job of washing, but these problems need to be address after every wash. Panasonic can do better with its design.
