Mahindra's e2oPlus Is a Big 'Plus' for Urban Mobility

Electric vehicles (EVs) have been the need of the hour with increasing pollution concern across multiple cities in India. With Zero tailpipe emissions and no noise, the EVs have emerged as a practical solution to fight this problem.

With back to back launches in 2016, Mahindra Electric is on a mission to make electric vehicles a part of standard mobility options to the consumers. The company recently revealed the name of its next launch - Mahindra e2oPlus. The car is surprisingly spacious and is expected to come with an improved range; both things customers have been looking forward to. In addition to that, the car is styled beautifully; with an all new grill design, new tail lights and hatch design.

The company claims that this isn't just another regular car, but behaves almost like a gadget! The telematics technology of the car keeps it connected to the customer as well as Mahindra Electric experts. So much so that it can be controlled from a smart phone to some extent - unlock it, lock it, pre-heat it, switch on the AC in the summer before one enters, or simply start and stop charging of the car. The smartphone app just brings everything to the fingertips. That's a cool feature to have with everything being accessible from phones, why not cars!

Moreover, the car boasts of 10 on-board computers that continuously monitor over 192 performance parameters of the car. These can be tracked and analysed to improve one's driving performance over a period of time. Not just this, the same data is available to the Mahindra experts as well! So essentially, they will be able to pre-identify potential glitches or simply help keep the service technicians ready before the car arrives for service.

The car also comes with an interesting technology called regenerative braking, which basically tops up the car as it brakes or doesn't accelerate, making the drive even more economical in start stop traffic by gaining free kilometres. Mahindra Electric's patented Revive technology is another great feature. This helps to add a few extra miles to the range, when the car is running short of charge. Making it convenient and absolutely safe from the fear of being stranded.

The new Mahindra Electric car comes with enough features to get people excited. More details of Mahindra's new electric car are just around the corner.
