Sony is expected to unveil its much talked about attachable smartphone lens cameras, the DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 alongside the long-rumoured flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z1 on September 4 ahead of the IFA.

A fresh rumour claims that the attachable smartphone lens cameras manufactured by Sony will be dubbed as 'Smart Shot'. SonyAlphaRumors cites its sources to claim that the lens camera will be officially known as Smart Shot which is a mix of Smart-phone and Cyber-Shot.

The site also reveals that the Smart Shot lenses will come with lens stabilization, record full-HD videos with MP4 format and even record videos in low light conditions with low noise. The Smart Shot lens cameras are said to be compatible with all Android and iOS devices, as reported earlier. The captured images will automatically be saved in both the lens camera memory card and the smartphone.

The site also notes that the QX10 will have the same 1/2,3-inch with 18-megapixel CMOS sensor and f/3,3-5.9 lens which is found in the Sony WX150 camera and will probably be priced at $250 while the QX100 is said to be priced at $450.

Earlier, it was reported that Sony's attachable lens cameras would be called EspressOn. Previously, the specifications of Sony's lens cameras had leaked revealing that Sony's attachable lens camera duo will feature built-in sensors, Bionz processor, Wi-Fi or NFC wireless connection and SD card slot support. It was reported that the lens cameras would not feature any screen and camera controls, but would be controlled through Wi-Fi or NFC with the smartphone or tablet.

Reportedly, the lens cameras can be magnetically attached to a smartphone or tablet and can work with both Android and iOS devices.
