A number of fresh images have popped up online for the Moto 360 smartwatch since its announcement last week
LG has also unveiled a new teaser image for its G Watch wearable. Both devices will run Android Wear, Google's version of Android for wearable devices.
Motorola has unleashed a bunch of new images for its much-anticipated Moto 360 smartwatch via its dedicated website. While the website gives us a glimpse of what Moto has in store for its users, a separate new image has been revealed by Slashgear (see above).
The Moto 360's glass-fronted circular watch-face is seen with swappable bands or straps. The website shows two options for the bands, one with a metallic finish and one with a leather finish (see below).
The Moto 360 is also seen sporting a purple-tinted undercarriage. The back piece is expected to be made of hard plastic. A microphone hole is also placed on the left side of the smartwatch, hinting at the inclusion of a voice-calling feature, recording or even voice-command. On the opposite side of the microphone, a button is seen placed, which we assume is also rotational.
Last week, Motorola revealed several details of the Moto 360, such as a 1.8-inch diameter screen, auto-orientation for ambidexterity, a stainless steel and water resistant build, support for gesture and voice input, no camera, support for smartphones running Android 4.3 or newer versions, and heavy Google Now integration. The Moto 360 will be launched in Summer 2014.
Along with Motorola, LG teased its upcoming G Watch wearable device, but only via a single clear image in a Twitter post. The post stated "LG #GWatch - Coming Soon!" followed by an image (see below). The image shows the LG G Watch to feature a square screen. The screen is seen showing Google Hangout chats along with time on the top-left corner.
LG had unveiled its G Watch last week, and provided a Q2 2014 launch date. The LG G Watch will feature a 1.65-inch screen with a 280x280 pixel resolution, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built-in storage.
