Expanding its Mavic drone series, DJI has launched two new drones - Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom. The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is priced at $1,449 (roughly Rs. 1,01,600), and Mac 2 Zoom is priced at $1,249 (roughly Rs. 87,600), and are available for purchase on the DJI Store. Key highlight of the Pro variant is its Hasselblad L1D-20c camera that sports a 20-megapixel sensor and a 10-bit HDR video capture. tHE Key highlight of the Mavic 2 Zoom, as the name suggests, is support for 2x optical zoom.

Staying true to the Mavic line, the two drones can fold and fit into a bag, making them extremely portable. The 20-megapixel 1-inch CMOS sensor comes with a variable aperture ranging from f/2.8 to f/11. Alongside the mentioned 10-bit HDR video recording support, it also has 10-bit Dlog-M colour profile to up its aerial photography game.

The Mavic 2 Zoom, on the other hand has a 12-megapixel 1/2.3-inch sensor with up to four times lossless zoom, and up to 2x optical zoom (24mm-48mm). It supports hybrid autofocus, full-HD video recording. The company notes that while taking a photo in 24mm wide angle view, the camera will capture and patch nine photos together, resulting into a picture that equals to a 48-megapixel super resolution photo. It also sports a Dolly Zoom feature that automatically adjusts focus while zooming.

Both the drones support Hyperlapse, Hyperlight for better low light photography, ActiveTrack 2.0 for following subjects automatically during flight, and four panorama modes (Sphere, 180 degree, horizontal, and vertical) as well. Flight time on a single charge is touted to be up to 31 minutes, max speed is listed at 72kph in Sport mode, and it comes with omnidirectional obstacle sensing that enables less bumping into obstacles in the front or at the back. Both the drones are compatible with DJI Goggles Series, and feature DJI's low-noise flight technology. It integrates a 3-axis gimbal that allows for stable footage, and has a feature called Task Library that lets you save flight paths to capture same footage more than once.

Inside the box, you get the drone, two batteries, charger, car charger, two pairs of propellers, battery to power bank adaptor, a shoulder bag, and a remote controller. You can buy the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom variants from here.
