The Oppo Reno 7 is the smaller sibling of the Reno 7 Pro (Review) and it has also been launched at a lower price than its predecessor, the Oppo Reno 6 (Review). Unlike the Reno 7 Pro though, the updates made to the Reno 7 are mostly focused around the design. It does get a couple of useful additions such as expandable storage and a slightly larger battery, but the features and specifications haven't really changed compared to the Reno 6. I've outlined the big changes in my first impressions of the phone, and it's now time to take a closer look at how it performs. Oppo Reno 7 5G Summary

The new design of the Oppo Reno 7 looks nice. The rounded frame and curved edges of the back gives the phone a sleek aesthetic. The Reno 7 also gets the same laser-etched pattern on the back like on the Reno 7 Pro, which looks good and does’t attract fingerprints. The 6.4-inch AMOLED display is similar to the one on the previous phone. It has a full-HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Oppo hasn’t bothered refreshing the SoC in the Reno 7 as it’s still the MediaTek Dimensity 900, along with has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The software experience of the Oppo Reno 7 is identical to the 7 Pro. Day-to-day performance has been solid so far with the Oppo Reno 7. The SoC is plenty powerful for handling the usual productivity and social apps. The bump in battery capacity to 4,500mAh (from 4,300mAh) seems to have made a noticeable impact on battery life.

It’s a good phone overall without any glaring faults but just know that there are better feature-packed offerings available online, that offer a lot more bang for you buck.

Giving feedback after 4 days of uses. Pros - great selfie camera with different filters/great back camera / Excellent RAM and storage / fast response/ very quick charging/ no hanging issue observed / battery lasts over 1 days of moderate use /very light weight/ opening time of any app is fast/ built quality awesome and looks / phone comes with screen guard and back cover so no need to spend money on them / place for memory card apart from dual sim/ display is good in indoors/ face unlock is fine Cons - in heavy sunlight, display appears little dim , but not that much issue / when watching full screen videos, little portion of upper and lower part of videos are not visible in screen. I am very satisfied using this phone and will give 5 out of 5. Flipkart's fast delivery is awesome and Flipkart didn't charge anything extra amount for the exchange of my old phone as condition of old phone was very good. Nice experience of using Flipkart to purchase this phone.
