Oppo showed off a 10x “lossless” zoom mechanism for smartphones at MWC in February this year, confidently promising that it would be incorporated into its next flagship before the first half of the year was up. That promise has been kept, with the brand new Oppo Reno 10x Zoom now launched and available for sale internationally, including in India. Huawei has also launched its P30 Pro with a 5x optical zoom camera since then, and this is definitely the kind of feature that will force a lot of people to sit up and take notice.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom actually has a 6x optical zoom camera, but gets its name from the fact that it can achieve a "hybrid" digital-optical zoom of 10x. The only other phone with such a capability right now is the much more expensive Huawei P30 Pro. The Reno 10x Zoom also has a unique "shark fin" pop-up module for its front camera. These factors should be enough to tempt the kind of buyer who always wants the latest and greatest features to show off.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom has the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and delivers excellent performance across the board, including in today's heaviest mobile games. There's a 4,065mAh battery and a huge 6.6-inch full-HD screen. You can choose between 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage.

The Reno 10x Zoom is a bulky phone and can be awkward to carry around. The glass rear is a little slippery too, but this looks and feels like a very high-end phone. Sadly there's no wireless charging or IP rating.

The cameras are very flexible and the 6x and 10x zoom capabilities are impressive. Photo quality was good in all kinds of situations, though we would have liked better low-light performance. Overall, this is a great phone with features that no other company currently matches at its price level.

This is my first experience with Oppo and it certainly will not be my last. I saw the light a few years back and moved away from apple to Android. I've used Samsung's ever since (great phones). I upgraded to the Oppo Reno 10x zoom from an s8. It is just simply incredible. The display, processor speed, specs and camera are amazing. Do not hesitate to get on board

I am using this mobile for a month and completely satisfied. I recommend this over K20 Pro, Oneplus Pro, Asus 6 as i have tried all phones, so writing this review so late. only problem is 8gb version is not value for money as you have to pay 10k more for just 2gb more ram and 128 storage. Camera: Excellent in all aspects, except for Selfie portrai t, normal selfies are superb and you will really like the AI skin tones. 10x zoom is great in good light conditions. just one small problem, while taking group photos, the faces are bit blur who stand behind, you will notice this only if you zoom in - Oppo can fix this easily, hope they read this review. Display: No issues, auto brightness is good in most environments. Big display, once got acquainted, you will not like small screen sizes. Fingerprint: excellent , fast and accurate Sound: have to get adjusted with earpice for calls, loudspeaker is good and enough, provided headphones are superb for music. Performance: dont feel much heat on heavy usage which is a big plus and usually the phone is pretty responsive. Charging: gets charged fast, takes less than 1 hour to fill from 30% which will be the case by end of the day. Build: quality is great, but a bit heavy, will get used to it. case provided is fantastic. Wifi and Mobile Data: no issues, connects super fast and has feature to use both at same time to provide faster speeds. Oppo working on connecting to dual wifi for much faster speeds. One suggestion, if you are camera lover please dont buy K20 mobile, i got it 2 days back and 12mp mode is pathetic. reno blows out k20 blindly.

awesome build quality and awesome camera.. It's zoom capability is just woww.. Slow mo videos are quite good.. Everything in this phone is superb.. If you are thinking to buy this phone..then, just go for it..
