Although OnePlus' most recent launch event was expectedly focused on the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company also launched a new product in its Bullets wireless audio range. Unlike the Buds lineup of true wireless headsets, the Bullets models sport a more traditional design with earpieces that are connected to each other via a band. This style might seem dated in the age of true wireless earphones, but OnePlus' latest wireless neckband headset hopes to win over buyers with its focus on getting the basics right.
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 is the successor to the Bullets Wireless Z, but feels like a very familiar experience. The design and fit are nearly the same, save for small changes in the controls. However, the headset has larger 12.4mm drivers, which makes for louder and more bass-focused sound.
Battery life and fast charging are excellent on the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2, but the headset falls a bit short when it comes to sound quality and features, with some competing options offering better Bluetooth codec support and active noise cancellation. Nonetheless, this is a good pick for anyone who wants a reliable pair of wireless earphones with good battery life.
