Vivo Electronics Corp. is a phone brand based in Dongguan, Guangdong, China. It was founded in 2009. The company is another Chinese smartphone maker to enter India recently. It makes low-cost Android phones, and those in the mid-range segment of the market. All of these are available in India too. Vivo's latest mobile launch is the Y500 5G. The mobile was launched in 1st September 2025. The phone comes with a 6.77-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2392 pixels. The Vivo Y500 5G is powered by octa-core (4x2.5GHz + 4x2GHz) MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and it comes with 8GB of RAM. The phone packs 128GB of internal storage. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo Y500 5G packs a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) + 2-megapixel (f/2.4) primary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel (f/2.05) front shooter for selfies. The Vivo Y500 5G runs Android 15 and is powered by a 8200mAh non removable battery. It measures 163.10 x 75.90 x 8.23 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 210.00 grams. The Vivo Y500 5G is a dual SIM mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, USB Type-C and 4G. Sensors on the phone include In-Display Fingerprint Sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
