Vivo Electronics Corp. is a phone brand based in Dongguan, Guangdong, China. It was founded in 2009. The company is another Chinese smartphone maker to enter India recently. It makes low-cost Android phones, and those in the mid-range segment of the market. All of these are available in India too. Vivo's latest mobile launch is the Y500i. The mobile was launched in 11th January 2026. The phone comes with a 6.75-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1570 pixels. The Vivo Y500i is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and it comes with 8GB of RAM. The phone packs 128GB of internal storage. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo Y500i packs a Unspecified (f/50, 1.8-micron) primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel (f/2.2) front shooter for selfies. The Vivo Y500i runs Android 16 and is powered by a 7,200mAh non removable battery. It measures 166.64 x 78.43 x 8.39 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 219.00 grams. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared and USB Type-C. Sensors on the phone include Fingerprint sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
