The company's Xperia range that started off with Windows Mobile OS has moved to Android and is a significant part of the smartphone market today. Sony's latest mobile launch is the Xperia 1 VIII. The mobile was launched in 13th May 2026. The phone packs 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2048GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Sony Xperia 1 VIII packs a 48-Ultrapixel (f/1.9) + 48-megapixel (f/2) + 48-megapixel (f/2.8) primary camera on the rear and a 12-Ultrapixel (f/2.0) front shooter for selfies. The Sony Xperia 1 VIII runs Android 16 and is powered by a 5000mAh non removable battery. It measures 162.00 x 74.00 x 8.30 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 200.00 grams. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC and USB Type-C. Sensors on the phone include Fingerprint sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
