Sony Mobile (previously known as Sony Ericsson Mobile) is a subsidiary of the electronics giant Sony Corporation. The company's Xperia range that started off with Windows Mobile OS has moved to Android and is a significant part of the smartphone market today. The company markets some of its phones as waterproof and dustproof. Sony Interactive Entertainment is a Sony subsidiary founded in 1993, which went on to make the PlayStation series of gaming consoles and critically acclaimed and successful video game series such as God of War and Uncharted. Sony's latest mobile launch is the Xperia 10 VIII. The mobile was launched in 25th August 2026. The phone comes with a 6.10-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2340 pixels. The Sony Xperia 10 VIII is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and it comes with 8GB of RAM. The phone packs 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2048GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Sony Xperia 10 VIII packs a 50-megapixel (f/1.9) + 13-megapixel (f/2.4) primary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel (f/2.0) front shooter for selfies. The Sony Xperia 10 VIII runs Android 16 and is powered by a 5000mAh non removable battery. It measures 153.00 x 72.00 x 8.30 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 168.00 grams. The Sony Xperia 10 VIII is a dual SIM (GSM + CDMA and GSM + CDMA) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and eSIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C, Active 4G on both SIM cards and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
