Founded back in 1969 as Samsung Electric Industries, Suwon, South Korea-headquartered Samsung Electronics today makes everything from televisions to semiconductors. It released its first Android smartphone in 2009, and can be credited with the launch of the first Android tablet back in 2010. The company is among the biggest players in the smartphone market in the world. It has recently developed smartphones running Tizen OS, as an alternative to its Android-based smartphones. Samsung's latest mobile launch is the Galaxy A08. The mobile was launched in 16th September 2026. The phone comes with a 6.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1600 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy A08 is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2048GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A08 packs a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) + 2-megapixel (f/2.4) primary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel (f/2.0) front shooter for selfies. The Samsung Galaxy A08 runs Android 16 and is powered by a 6000mAh non removable battery. It measures 167.40 x 77.40 x 8.00 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 197.00 grams. The Samsung Galaxy A08 is a dual SIM (GSM + CDMA) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB Type-C and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
