Oplus India was founded in December 2013 as a subsidiary of Oplus Taiwan and offers smartphones and tablets in India. Oplus launched the Xonphone range of smartphones in India. For this it struck an exclusive partnership with Indian ecommerce player Snapdeal. The Xonphone range is powered by Google's Android operating system. Oplus's latest mobile launch is the XonPhone 5. The mobile was launched in July 2014. The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels at a PPI of 320 pixels per inch.

The Oplus XonPhone 5 is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and it comes with 1GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Oplus XonPhone 5 packs a 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Oplus XonPhone 5 runs Android 4.4.2 and is powered by a 2000mAh removable battery. It measures 143.00 x 71.50 x 7.80 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 170.00 grams.

The Oplus XonPhone 5 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Regular and Micro-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM and 3G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor and Accelerometer.
