The company has launched its first smartphone range that includes four phones under the Blade series , one in the Kis range and another one under the Grand series. All six smartphones from ZTE have been priced between Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 15,000.
The ZTE Blade G2 features a 4.5-inch FWGVA display, runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor with 512MB of RAM. The phone also packs 4GB of internal storage, 5-megapixel rear camera and has been priced at Rs. 11,599.
The ZTE Blade L features a 4.7-inch WVGA display, runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM. It also comes with 4GB of internal memory. On the camera front, it comes equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera and has been priced at Rs. 12,599.
The ZTE Blade C comes with a 4-inch WVGA display. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and on the hardware front includes a 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. The phone also comes with 4GB of internal storage. It sports a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 2000mAh battery . The phone comes with a price tag of Rs. 7,599.
The ZTE Blade E features a 4.5-inch IPS FWVGA display and runs Android 4.1. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The smartphone also packs 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. On the camera front, it boasts a 5-megapixel rear camera and has been priced at Rs. 11,999.
The ZTE Kis Flex sports a 3.5-inch QVGA display and runs Android 2.3. It is powered by a 1GHz processor with 256MB of RAM. It boasts of a 2-megapixel rear camera and includes a 1200mAh battery. It's priced at Rs. 5,799.
The last of the lot is the ZTE Grand X Quad Lite that comes with a price tag of Rs. 14,999.
For the distribution of its smartphones, ZTE has signed a strategic partnership with Pune based Calyx Telecommunications.
The company also unveiled the new Swift range of data cards that include four variants, namely, Swift priced at Rs. 1799 that supports 7.2Mbps download speed and voice calling, Swift Plus priced at Rs. 1,999 that supports 14.4Mbps download speed, Swift WPlus priced at Rs. 2,250 supports 14.4Mbps download speed and comes with Wi-Fi and Swift Speed priced at Rs. 2499, which supports 21.6Mbps and Voice Calling.
ZTE India Handsets Vice President, Yuan Kang, said that the company enjoys the leadership in the Indian data card market, and the launch of the Swift series of 3G data cards was a step to broaden the data card portfolio, for the Indian customers. ZTE has also tied up with Digilife for distribution of data cards for the Indian market.
